    Abstract

    The literature on happiness concerning traditional culture shows that the focus of most studies is on examining the differences of happiness in various cultures, the role of individuals' cultural preferences in happiness, and the nations' social and intellectual infrastructures. A few studies have concentrated on urban space qualities and events' role in enhancing citizens' happiness in public spaces. This research seeks to analyze the role of cultural events, affecting happiness in Tehran's public spaces. Based on analyzing the case study, the area of event-oriented public spaces in Tehran including the City Theater plaza, the Iranian Artists house plaza, and the Ferdows garden plaza has been chosen to study to provide a realistic understa

    Abstract

    Problem statement: Recent global experiences have shown that culture-led regeneration has played a crucial role in the? urban life quality, particularly in historical-cultural areas. Given the rich cultural background of Iran, the experiences of the recent decade in this country are indicative of a growing tendency toward this approach. A holistic analysis of the literature could easily indicate that there is no clear procedure to identify and develop culture-led regeneration strategies, and the majority of studies have only addressed the achievements of the previous experiences. Research objective: The main achievement of the study is introducing a comprehensive process which identifies and prioritizes culture-led regeneration strategies b

    Journal PapersUrban Planning Knowledge , 2020 October 22, {Pages }

    Abstract

    Background: The environment can create positive and negative emotions in the citizens. An important part of the importance of emotions is due to the impact on people's behaviors. because the extraction of emotional responses is one of the best ways to understand different fields of experience and perception. A descriptive overview of studies has shown that the mechanism of emotional processes in human-environment interaction have not been considered. Detecting the emotions position in the framework of human interaction and the environment in a deeper layer requires the discovery of the emotional mechanism and its relationship with the human-environment interaction, which is the main concern of this research. Objectives: This research seeks

    Abstract

    Problem Statement: A glance at the changes in the quality of urban spaces in our time would indicate the impact of outer forces that create new challenges in managing and improving the quality of urban space. Due to the power of these forces, transformations that once used to occur gradually throughout history are taking place much more quickly. Therefore, understanding the nature of urban transformation will open up new ways of coping with contemporary challenges for urban planners. A look at the existing literature shows that this issue has been treated insufficiently at the scale of urban space.Aims: As a result of rapid urban transitions and subsequent fundamental transformations in urban spaces, there is a need for another form of urba

    Extended Abstract 1. Introduction Many new Towns are located and designed to attract the overflow crowd of larger cities. The new town must include all the necessary facilities with proper planning and design. Known as one of the most important elements of identity, city center is an area for urban activities, presence, and interactions among people, and thus the appropriate design of city centers and urban spaces is an important issue. In this realm, providing urban design guidance documents for city centers becomes essential. Preparation of "city center urban design framework" document aims at providing high-quality city centers and thus can affect the whole city. The Iranian new town of Golbahar is located in Khorasan Razavi province, 35

    Abstract

    The topic of happiness has attracted the attention of urban experts in the last decade. Cities such as Copenhagen and Bogot? are creating literature based on their experiences in this area. The quality of the city and urban spaces is a significant factor affecting happiness. The amount of happiness in urban spaces can be a reflection of the quality of these spaces. Similar to vitality, hence, happiness can also be seen as a quality of urban spaces. Happiness has become a key concept in recent urban studies. Happiness literature considers the role of place, local communities, social cohesion and sense of belonging. Unveiling the concept of “urban happiness”, Enrique Penalosa, the mayor of Bogota, revealed the potential for happiness and

    Abstract

    Altering existing buildings for new functions is not a new phenomenon. For example during the Renaissance period, monuments from ancient times were transformed for new uses. During the French Revolution (18 th century), religious buildings were transformed for industrial functions or military uses after they had been confiscated and sold. In addition, During the last few decades in Western Europe, the task of re-using and enhancing the existing resources has been perceived as central to the task of regeneration. This new wave produced a sense of connection and synergy between regeneration and conservation efforts. During this period, the role of historic buildings and structures has become increasingly important in many regeneration project

    An Analysis of the Function of External Senasir Types and Their Effects on the Wind Flow in the Historical Part of Bushehr

    Abstract

    Bushehr has a valuable historical texture that is a very rich example of a coherent design with a climate from the macro level location to elements and architectural details. Based on the climatic challenges in the contemporary world, revising samples such as Bushehr can provide a basis for creativity in urban design and contemporary architecture. Given the ever-increasing advances in climate analysis, there is a need for a new insight into the analysis of urban spaces and architecture in the historical context of Bushehr. Senasir is one of the important elements in the climatic function, landscape and identity of the historical context of Bushehr. Most of the previous studies have considered this important element of Bushehr urban architec

    Journal PapersTABRIZ JOURNAL OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING , Volume 47 , Issue 4, 2018 February 20, {Pages 1439-1451 }

    Abstract

    This paper represents two main contributions. Firstly, a new state space model is represented for doubly fed induction generators (DFIG) by adding the uncertainty in the state equation. Secondly, a direct active and reactive power control (DPC) is designed for wind power systems with DFIG. The proposed DPC strategy employs a nonlinear sliding mode control scheme to directly calculate the required rotor and grid control voltages so as to eliminate the instantaneous errors of active and reactive powers. Constant converter switching is achieved by using space vector modulation, which eases the design power converter and the ac harmonic filter. As a result, no extra current control loops are required, and hence the design is simplified and the

    Abstract

    Today, cities need public spaces for social interactions. Shortage of land on the ground level in metropolitan areas is a big challenge for creating public spaces. Using underground spaces for creating public space in urban areas could be an efficient answer to solve mention problem. Using underground area as an urban space is a wise decision for creation of more public spaces in big cities. Creating well organized underground urban spaces for various activities instead of normal unplanned underground spaces need theoretical foundation. It seems existing underground spaces in cities such as Toronto, Montreal, Osaka, Paris and Stockholm and future underground spaces need unique urban design qualities to act as riche public spaces.This resear

    Abstract

    According to the United Nations. in 2009 the urban population of the world overtook the rural population (UNFPA, 2007). Contemporary studies suggest that cities may be the most important places for human development, creativity, progress, and health of people (Corburn 2009; Landry 2012; Duhl 1986). Therefore, a sound and healthy urban environment is necessary to support human welfare (V?lker and Kistemann 2013). At the global level, urban life is a powerful force that influences people's health (Akpinar 2016; Vlahov et al. 2007; Cummins et al. 2007; Diez Roux 2003; Macintyre et al. 2002; Perdue et al. 2003; Rao et al. 2007). Abstract

    Esfahan is one of the central and historic cities of Iran, which dates back to 2000 years ago. The city is enriched with crafts and folk art, which has lead to it being registered as part of the Creative Cities Network of UNESCO. The centerpiece of the city, NaghsheJahan Square, was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, and it well represents the brand of the city Esfahan; its intricate mixture of historic architecture, viable urban space for work and recreation for its citizens, and a welcoming landmark on tourists’ maps.
